With only a few weeks to go until the launch of the Herdwatch farming app in the U.K, the Herdwatch team invites any U.K visitors to the NPA to come and preview the innovative farming app. The Herdwatch app enables Dairy, Suckler and Beef farmers to spend as little time as possible on farm paperwork, so they can spend as much time as possible adding value to their end product, which feeds an ever-increasing global population.
Herdwatch saves farmers valuable time by recording farm and animal events on the go, anytime, anywhere, even without internet access, for less than £2.50 a week. The app gives farmers peace of mind when it comes to recording legally required information, such as calf births, and ensures compliance with national and EU animal remedies legislation, a requirement which is weighing increasingly heavy on farmers.
Herdwatch was released in Ireland in February 2014 following 2 years of Research & Development, and has since won 4 national awards, an Innovation merit at LAMMA 2016 and the prestigious Prince Philip Innovation award at the Livestock Event in July. With over 3,500 Irish farmers now enjoying simple mobile herd management and compliance, it’s a great opportunity to see the benefits of Herdwatch for yourself.
