The National Ploughing Championships Launches Irish Toy Business to Global Success!

A West of Ireland business goes global with the launch of its model toy fields into the American market as of this September. The National Ploughing Championships back in 2015 provided the successful launch pad for international success for Irish business The Field.

Padraic Cuddy, owner of Class Grass Ireland, which supplies superior quality synthetic grasses to the Irish market saw the National Ploughing Championships based in Ratheniska, Co. Laois that year as the perfect event to introduce his model toy field to the Irish market, what he didn’t expect was the overnight success to follow.

A simple child’s request from Padraic’s then 3-year-old son for a realistic toy field to graze his many farm animals and play with his farm machinery saw the start of a new business venture for Padraic Cuddy and his family. This adventure has led The Field business to international success, the introduced of the Field Toys to the American market has been greatly received. With continued success in the Irish market with over 150 stores across the Island of Ireland stocking the Field toys and regular appearance on the Late Late Toy Show.

The Field toys are realistic model toy fields designed for children both boys and girls aged 3+. Each Field toy comes complete with lush pastures, hedging and traditional wooden farm gates! The Field Toys spark imaginative, inspired play and no batteries are needed!

Children who love playing with miniature farm animals and vehicles can immerse in playing “farm life”, grazing cattle, shepherding animals around the field, tending to a designated plot of farm land with their farm machinery! The Field is highly versatile and is only limited by a child’s imagination.Enclosed the child will also find a Certificate of Ownership, so there is no doubt as to who owns this creative plot of land!

The Field Toys “open the gates to a child’s imagination”, these fun, engaging, educational toys allow children to create their own real world “small play”, stimulating growing imaginations and encouraging learning and social skills development.

What child doesn’t love figurines and creating little worlds that reflect their own but are also unique and utterly enchanting?Children like the Field Toy because it creates the foundation for hours of inventive play. Instead of having their little ‘small’ world created for them through elaborate structures and playhouses, the Field Toy allows children to use their own imaginations to put together a play space like none other.  The Field toys can be used indoors, or outside for hours of creative fun!

Parents like the Field Toy because its low tech, ‘no batteries needed’, style is an approachable and encouraging way for kids to get off their screens and develop a world right in front of their eyes. Children develop their concentration skills and imagination because of the fact that they can touch, feel and engage with the Field Toy, time and time again and in new and wonderful ways.

Female led companies will feature strong at Ploughing 2018

Sisters Áine Lecky and Eibhlin Murphy directors of Major Equipment Intl Ltd, based in Ballyhaunis, Co Mayo were winners of last years Anna May McHugh Leadership award at the National Ploughing Championships and since then have been concentrating their efforts on reaching world markets. This year they will have new product launches and show case what women are achieving in the otherwise male dominated machinery sector.

Speaking a year on from winning the award Eibhlin said that it was something they were very proud of and it had a hugely positive effect on their business. “We have been working hard on building relationships in many parts of the world and to have our Australian dealers comment on the award adds an element of credibility to what we are doing. The company was established in 1976 bytheir father John Murphy and his brother Mark Murphy.
