Congratulations to NPA Toplink Innovation Winner, Neilus Murphy of ‘Grazemate‘ who is currently exhibiting at LAMMA SHOW in the UK presently and has being awarded a Cert of Merit ‘ Best New Innovation Product (See www.grazemate.ie)
Neilus hails from Coolagown, near Fermoy, Co Cork and won the 2013 Innovation Award at last year’s Championship for his “GrazeMate > Drover” fence opening device.
Grazemate Drover is a new, easy-to-use labour saving device for farmers that allows the user to open or close an electrified barrier to a field using their mobile phone.

Kildare Road Safety Week
As part of Irish Road Safety week a number of initiatives are taking place around Kildare. Road Safety Officer Declan Keogh has teamed up with a number of local businesses to highlight this year’s road safety week. Free armbands will be provided when you buy a Kiddies meal at McDonalds in Naas, Newbridge and Maynooth on Saturday between 1pm and 3pm, Saturday night is European Night without Accidents in and Naas is one of the many towns involved around the country. On Sunday it’s the return of the Safety check day at Halford’s Naas where people can have their car, bicycle or child car seat checked for free. There are also free high visibility vests for over 65’s at participating pharmacists in conjunction with Age Action Ireland.
