Joe Canning brings a message of thanks from UNICEF to National Ploughing Championship attendees

UNICEF Ireland Ambassador and former Galway hurler thanks people from around Ireland for unprecedented support in 2022

Interview opportunity with UNICEF Ireland Ambassador Joe Canning

Date: Wednesday, September 21st between 10am-12pm.
Why: UNICEF Ireland Ambassador Joe Canning is bringing a message of thanks to attendees at the National Ploughing Championships this Wednesday, September 21st. Appearing at the UNICEF Ireland stand (551 – Block 2 – Row 35), Joe will thank attendees from across Ireland for their support of UNICEF’s work with children in Ukraine and other emergencies.
UNICEF Ireland has received unprecedented support from people in Ireland in 2022. Since the Ukraine war began, tens of thousands of people, along with companies big and small, have donated more than €15 million towards UNICEF’s work with children in Ukraine and neighbouring countries. Celebrating their support, Joe will be speaking to attendees about
what their support has meant for children in Ukraine.
He will also join the UNICEF Ireland team in demonstrating some of the critical supplies UNICEF provides to children most in need, including Ready-To-Use Therapeutic Food (RUTF), UNICEF’s school-in-a-box, malnutrition assessment devices and water purification tablets.
