New app for agricultural contractors and farmers shortlisted for innovation award at the National Ploughing Championships.

Ag-drive, a new digital app helping agricultural contractors and farmers to manage their business more effectively and improve cashflow, has been shortlisted for an innovation award by Enterprise Ireland, and will appear in the Innovation Area at the National Ploughing Championships 2022.

We are returning with our stand showing curtains with the latest trending fabrics and styles as well as some of the latest tech in motorised blinds.

Our fabulous team of interior designers will be on hand each day to demonstrate our products and to offer any advice our visitors might be looking for. Visitors to our stand can arrange consultations with our team to visit them directly in their own homes.

Today the groundbreaking begins for DeLaval’s big investment in modern dairy production

The groundbreaking at Hamra Farm for the 18 000 m² re-build starts today. The investment in more modern and sustainable dairy production at its own farm Hamra Farm, includes new barns, four new automatic milking robots, DeLaval VMS™ V300 and more digital solutions to improve animal health, quality and efficiency.

Plough on! ALDI returning to National Ploughing
Championships with impressive marquee line-up – Food, fun and farming for all the family!
ALDI has announced that its marquee will once again be a ‘festival crown jewel’ at this year’s National Ploughing Championships when the event makes its long-awaited return to Ratheniska, Co. Laois from September 20th to 22nd.
Over the course of the three-day festival, ALDI will present a jam-packed programme complete with cooking demonstrations, musical performances, exciting giveaways and much more.

We have a few exciting initiatives and plans for you to promote on all your media outlets so please feel free to do so and tag us.
 
At the DoneDeal Agri stand we will have a spin the wheel initiative which will allow National Ploughing Championships visitors to our stand, to spin and win free branded donedeal agri merchandise.

iCRAG and Ireland’s Fossil Heritage are very excited to be bringing an interactive science exhibit to NPA 2022. Our stand will feature a range of fossils and rocks from Ireland that the public can handle and learn about.

Geoscientists are scientists that are interested in learning more about our landscape, the rocks under the ground, and how they might be useful to us. But how do geoscientists find out what makes up the earth beneath our feet?

On Wednesday 21st September at 12 noon, Certified Irish Angus and it’s processor partners ABP and Kepak, will announce the finalists of the Certified Irish Angus school’s competition at our stand.

 

The Irish Architecture Foundation will be at this year’s Ploughing Championships to raise awareness about the importance of preserving the heritage and history of these villages that played an integral role in Ireland’s development.
Through a specially created exhibition and a series of talks we will celebrate the stories of the Bord na Móna workers and families who made
the village their home, and discuss what a sustainable future might look like.

Kubota has expanded its round baler line-up for 2022 with the introduction of an all-new, high capacity fixed chamber baler, called the BF3500.

Replacing the previous BF3255 model, the new BF3500 has been engineered for use in heavy silage conditions. It gets an 18-roller bale chamber, with two rollers located in the base of the chamber to give additional support with heavy, wet silage bales.

IAM Agricultural Machinery are delighted to announce that we have been appointed the sole distributor for FarmDroid in Ireland and Northern Ireland. We will be showcasing it for the first time in Ireland at this year’s National and World Ploughing Contest taking place in Ratheniska, Co Laois on September 20th, 21st & 22nd.

Patrick Kelly will attempt a world record in driving a tractor and trailer, in reverse, during the
National Ploughing Championships. He will attempt this challenge in a 1962 Massey Ferguson tractor
with no power steering.

Tuesday 20th of September sees the return of The Portwest All Ireland Welly Throwing Competition to the National Ploughing championships in Rathiniska Co.Laois. It will take run over the 3-day event from 10am each morning.
The event has got some fantastic support in previous years with Mary McAleese, Dermott & Dave and Ray Foley amongst those who have taken part.
This year’s chosen charity beneficiary is Teac Tom. Teac Tom provides mental health support and suicide intervention services to those in need.

September 21, 2022: Visitors to Ratheniska on Tuesday were surprised to see Irish Dancing flash mobs popping up around the site, decked out in sporty workwear.
