IFFPG, the national organization responsible for farm plastic recycling has announced a 20% reduction in the cost of recycling for farmers in 2011.

Chairman Michael Slattery speaking at the recent AGM of the Company said, “IFFPG continues to review its costs and charges and as a not-for profit organization we are pleased to be able to pass savings back to farmers. The 20% cost reduction means that almost €100,000 is being passed pack to farmers in reduced recycling charges. The cost of recycling, when the proof of levy paid code is produced, at bring centres will be €20 per half tonne.”

“IFFPG has also reviewed its number of bring centres and will increase them to 180. The full list of all bring centres are available on the IFFPG website, www.farmplastics.ie and will be advertised on local and national papers.” IFFPG in connection with Farm Plastics Recycling will now collect Nets/Twine, Triple Rinsed chemical drums and Fertiliser/Feed bags.
