The Institute of Technology Carlow has been the principal Higher Education provider for the counties of South Leinster for 40 years. With over 25,000 graduates to-date, and campuses in Carlow and Wexford, the Institute provides multi-level undergraduate and postgraduate educational and research programmes leading to internationally recognised national qualifications at Higher Certificate, Degree, Honours Degree, Masters Degree and Doctorate Degree level. Our courses are designed to meet the specific needs of the industrial and commercial sectors and include a wide range of honours degree courses in a broad range of disciplines.

The facilities at IT Carlow include a state-of-the-art Learning Resource Centre with over 1,200 learner stations, purpose-built laboratories, workshops and studios, TV Studio, Radio Studio, Avionics Hangar and Games Development Suite. A new 5000 sq. metre Student Services Building has been completed. This facility will further enhance the students experience and wellbeing while studying at IT Carlow. The facility includes a 600m² Sports Hall & Changing Facilities; Steam Room & Sauna; Fully equipped Gyms; High Performance Gym; Sports Analysis Facility; Fitness Suite; Medical Centre; Health Centre; Meditation Room; Access Service; Careers Service; and Counselling Service. A new flood-lit all weather pitch to FIFA 1 star standard has also been completed. This will complement the previously developed facilities for GAA and Rugby.
