European Commission
The European Union’s stand will provide visitors with information on European matters, through specific conferences, publications and multimedia facilities. Come and visit our marquee, it will be stocked with promotional items as well as specific publications for children, coloring books and pencils, quizzes and interesting maps.
Without mentioning, of course, all specialized publications on the Common Agriculture Policy and other specific farming topics. In addition, our experts will be available to answer technical questions from farmers, the agricultural industry and anybody interested in EU matters. Specific advices and support will be provided also in the field of consumer rights.
And because innovation is the driving force behind a successful, progressive and growing economy, the Joint Research Centre (JRC) will be present to showcase the scientific research it carries out to meet both European and global challenges related to agriculture.
Special features will include soil, farmland biodiversity, forests and forest fires as well as food/feed safety, nutrition and consumer protection. Informative slidesshows, videos, interactive activities including games and friendly staff make this a must. But that is not all, as this is the European Year of Volunteering, you can find the opportunity to work for your community during your free time, because the world would be much worse off without volunteers!
