Dovea Genetics are one of Ireland’s leading suppliers of bovine semen, highly trained A.I. Technician service, train farmers for DIY AI and provide a liquid nitrogen delivery service. The headquarters of the company is based outside Thurles where the AI centre houses 100 bulls.

The Dovea Genetics team are looking forward to the 2011 Ploughing Championships after an excellent season where both semen sales & A.I. figures are up substantially. The Dovea team will launch their Autumn 2011 programme at the Ploughing Championships which will include for both beef and dairy bulls; special offers, new bulls available and updated figures. The Dovea Genetics team will be available on STAND 769 ROW T for the three days to meet and discuss the bulls for your farming system.

The Dovea Genetics stand will feature a live exhibit of beef and dairy animals. The dairy exhibit will feature a crossbred cow (Montbeliarde x Holstein), two Holstein cows off the bull Gibor (GIO) and two pure Friesian cows off the bull Piet Adema 186 (PZI).The beef display will include five crossbred weanlings under one year of age – a daughter of Ringfort Cormac, sons of the easy calving Charolais Vagabond (VGO) and the exciting new bull Cloverfield Excellent (CXY) and a son of the new Limousin bull Millbrook Dartangan (MBP) and a son of the easy calving Parthenaise Bolide (BZB). The live exhibit will be a sample of animals suitable for both the live export and home market.
