For the first time ever, ACCORD Catholic Marriage Care Service will have a stand at this year’s National Ploughing Championships. As the largest provider of Marriage and Relationship counselling and Marriage Preparation courses in the country it is only right that we bring information on our services to the widest possible audience.

In its annual report for 2010 ACCORD showed an increase of 8% in the amount of counselling hours delivered and when added to the hours of Marriage Preparation the total number of hours in support of Marriage is 60,000.

Our attendance at the Ploughing Championships will bring ACCORD into contact with a live audience and will give people an opportunity to find out who we are, what it is we offer and to acknowledge the special place Marriage has for so many people in Irish society.

We are looking forward to this new venture and to meeting as many people as possible over the course of the Ploughing Championships.

Our theme for this event will be Getting Married, Supporting Marriage and Celebrating Marriage. There will be a free draw each day for a Marriage Preparation Course with any of our 60 centres nationwide. We will also have a ‘Test your Relationship’ challenge at the stand over the three days. Counsellors and Facilitators of marriage preparation courses will be on hand to assist and offer information regarding our services.
